Beskrivelse: I. View from the deck of HMS Vindictive, sunk in the raid on Ostend, showing the rest of the harbour. The Germans have scuttled another vessel in the harbour, leaving only the funnel and masts showing. More views of the Vindictive . Belgian tugboats pass the wreck. II. Ostend three days after it was liberated on 17th October. British and Belgian soldiers walk with civilians in the streets. A group of children, probably staged, runs towards the camera cheering and waving Belgian flags. The cameraman's car loaded with the children and joined by cheering civilians runs down a street and stops in front of the camera. An iron bridge over the river estuary, still intact. The cameraman's car drives gingerly over a fragile plank bridge across a stream on the way to or from Ostend. A number of civilians, attracted by the camera, follow the car.
The liberation of Ostend, including scenes of the wreck of HMS Vindictive, Belgium, 20th October 1918.
